There are approx. 80 students per admissions cycle. There are three entering classes per year. One in January, May, and September.

I was wondering how many graduate out of the 80?

Well i am not a Saba student but according to what people say on valuemd...if a class starts with 60 students, in the end at least 50 people graduate. Possible reasons for dropping out: financial problems, poor academics or there are some people who cant handle the island life.

Our class started with 77. We immediately lost 4 or 5 as those who did not like living on Saba or disliked medical school in general left.
We finished the two years of basic sciences on the island with 55. About 5 of those graduating basic sciences in our class were students from classes ahead of us who were a semester behind from dropping or failing a course, or who took a brief leave of absence to deal with a family illness. Of the others who did not leave the island when I did, most of them had dropped back to a class or two behind for the same reasons. I know we lost two who were allegedly cheating and expelled, I don't know the details about that though.

wow thanks for the real world experience of the class size. So are your classes about 55 students besides the labs?
Seems like just the same size as a US medical school. But I bet you get to know the each more due to the small island.

I think davidMD is probably right. I'm a couple of years removed from the island now, but they have finished a new building and so have expanded since then. I would expect between 80 and 90 students at first, and the number will gradually decrease by the time you leave in 5th semester to about 60 I would bet.

Yeah, this is the biggest May class size ever. The May class size is completely full....I can't believe they even ran out of dorm room...I have to get a place off campus for first semester

Initially the target was 82 students...but I have a feeling they accept more in case the money doesn't come through or if the student backs out and decides last minute to go elsewhere. So potentially, if every student that pays a seat deposit ends up attending I think it'll be in the 90 - 100 range. This is just speculation though...
