Hello everyone,
I am very excited to be able to say that I have passed step1!! Now as I move on to the clinicals with Windsor, needless to say many questions arise!!
My first is what books do I need for the future for each rotation and for step 2 ahead?
Secondly, are all the rotations at the chicago affiliated hospitals greenbook?
Thirdly, where should I look for housing if I want to do all rotations in chicago? (closest to hosp as well as safe areas)
I would appreciate any advice and all suggestions!! Thank you in advance!!

If you are just starting rotations then two good books to prepare are as follow:
1)Bates: Intro to Physical Exam, read corresponding chapters to rotation you are about to start. (For IM: read Cardio, pulm, gi, ent, etc.) (For Ob-gyn: read pelvic, gu chapters).
2) First aid for Clerkships: will teach you how to write admission note, progress note, etc. Will go over major diseases you will most likely see in each rotation.

Oh wow, thank you so much for updating MDin2009!! Really appreciate your work and effort!!!!
I was browsing through this forum, as I know I once came across a post concerning housing areas that are good for chicago. I can no longer find that post. MDin2009, do you know of any specific neighborhoods I should try to look in etc, while searching on craigslist? (Which areas are closest to all the hospitals in general?) I think I've heard Hyde Park mentioned here before...if there any other particulars, please do let me know as I am trying to move soon !! THanks once again for updating the clincial rotations guide link!!!
