Not quite true, because those people won't be entering med school until that year (2012) therefore they will finish by 2016. People starting now, and next year, and the year after will finish before them. Also, a lot of those people will be D.O.'s going into different non-MD residencies. Not to mention the fact that in general residency spot numbers in the U.S. have to increase because simply increasing med school sizes won't take care of the shortage of physicians. This has been discussed a lot recently on sdn and quite frankly everyone has a different opinion. But it doesn't mean the end of education outside the U.S. at all.

edit: from you other threads and posts it seems like you are fear mongering a little. Have a little faith, residency spots have to increase, because med school enrollment increases can't make up for whats gonna happen as these baby boomer doctors retire. There are going to be major problems in numbers of docs.
