Does anyone else here think that your clinical director is not competent to perform his or her tasks?

For example I live in NY and my friend Lives in Ga.
I get a rotation in Ga and he gets a rotation NY for the same date!

They wait until the last minute to assign you your next rotation.

They have to ask where you are before assigning you to another location. Should they not have the capability to place students more efficiently, its not like the school just opened up.

Instead of wasting time on the news letter they should be actively looking for more Peds sites.

Some students have been assigned peds and without completing Psych! Then force use to go to UK.

Did anyone notice the email today about the NYSED form. The email was sent today but if you did electives in NY you had a deadline of yesterday March 24th 2009 by 10am. lol

did you ask to be switched with your friend ? the CCs deal with 100's of students. Its very hard to keep track of them all.

I have seen the C.C.'s work to place the students in the most appropriate locales for the availability of the site to the student and timing. In our personal situation she has been terrific and very helpful, accommodating plus so understanding.
There is no perfect world so keep the lines of communication open and be patient. Most of the time things have a way of working out. Regards dr. B
