Hi guys
I am going to Spartan in May 2009. By reading all the posts, I figured that we can do clinicals for only 12 weeks in NY, so where do we do the rest of our clinical rotations. And also how many weeks in total of clinical rotations we have to do
I would really appreciate if anyone can answer this

The best thing to do is call Dr. P in NM or call Dr. G. In Saint Lucia. They will give you a list of clinical rotations. They are always changing and it is better to talk to them and get the exact info. Good luck, see you on the island.

I agree that if you want more info your best bet is to call. You can obviously also check the schools website (Look up at the top of this page) and check out the program on the site. Good luck!!!!

Hi
Since I am going there in May 09, so I was wondering if you have any ideas like...what are the best places to live up there and which are closer to university and stuff....
Also I was wondering if I would need to bring a converter with me or I heard landlord does provide it?
Since Spartan does not have a dorm....so i am guessing i will be living with room mates or i have the option to live alone
And one last thing:p....like the rent tht i have to pay...do i need to pay tht in US dollars or in ECD?
I would really appreciate if u can answer these:)
thanks

I prefered the Orchard. Some others prefered different areas (for ex. Mace I believe prefers a different area based on your water being cut off less after rain storms). I still like the Orchard though. Just make sure your house has 1. Air conditioning 2. water tank WITH PUMPS

You do not need to (there is a store called *china town* which you can probably find them at) ... that said I would bring them if you can spare the space (I would suggest at least two with one backup). If you do not bring your own make that number one on your hitlist to get done... they went fast when I got to the island.

You can live by yourself or with a roomate ... it all depends on what is available (you will probably pay a little more/month if you live alone)... when you get to the island (I suggest giving yourself at least 5 days before classes start ... more if you can spare it ... yes I know it stinks to go that early ... but it will pay off in your not having to run around so much) try to get as much as you can done right away... you will meet everyone over the next week so just do your own thing and get settled in. That is my advice at least.
I payed in US dollars sometimes and sometimes in EC... that all depends on your landlord... I did what was easiest for me and my landlord had no problem either way. Just keep in mind that it is probably not the best idea to leave that much money stashed away in your house or apt...

Hey can you tell me if NCFMEA approval is crucial for the eligibility of a foreign medical school's student to do clinical rotations or ECFMG certification?
