I have the American Nationality......but Iam studying Medicine in Middle east
what are the benefits for this????
does the American citizenship give me advantage on my USMLE score??
Can I study Surgery..dermatology?????
I heard these are not allowed for IMGs

No, your American citizenship does not give you or anyone whatsoever an advantage on the USMLE score, where you got that wild idea from?

For surgery or dermatology you have to get high USMLE SCORES, GREAT references from your clinical rotaions, and get in line and COMPETE witht everyone else.

I heard it gives me an advantage in Matching.....
I was not accurate above when I wrote advantage on USMLE
so I asked that this advantage could help me in Surgery......

yes when they hear you are an american your score automatically jumps 20 points....:D just kidding....i would imagine it cant hurt in residency cuz there are no visa issues etc....
