Assuming you pass step 1 a month after Carbondale, how long does it take for the school to schedule your core rotations?

Are the rotations mostly scheduled back to back? or do they make you wait a few weeks/months between rotations?

any input is appreciated as always..thanks!

Passing Step 1 a month after Carbondale would mean you wrote it within 1 week of the last day in Carbondale, and got your score within 3 weeks. Anyhow, for me it took the school 2 weeks to set up my first rotation. This time allowed me to find a place and settle in before I began rotations.

This depends where you are doing rotations. From my experience, it usually is 1 week. Chicago is usually difficult to schedule back to back.
any input is appreciated as always..thanks!

Hope this helps

are all your rotations in chicago or do you have to move around?

how easy is it to find housing? does the school help you with that?

any special exams/certifications we need to complete before we can enter rotations?

thanks in advance

are all your rotations in chicago or do you have to move around? You can choose between CHI and Nashville.

how easy is it to find housing? Depends on your budget and location. I would recommend craigslist and roommates.com

does the school help you with that? No

any special exams/certifications we need to complete before we can enter rotations? immunizations and insurance.

thanks in advance

The better programs have waiting lists...but an elective rotation from them looks good on your CV and if you are lucky a LOR. Its best to do electives in the specialty that you want to go into...

For students doing greenbook rotations in Chicago, what is the average wait time between rotations?? Just a general idea would be nice.
