Anyone know of any 1 year MPH or MS Biology offered out there??? I have been looking for quite a while and have only found 2 year programs. Preferably in California, or somewhere in the US. Thanks!!! Please let me know if you have any personal experience with any of these programs.

You have been looking for quite a while? and only found 2!? Hmm... don't take it wrong way but you need to look much harder...

I don't know anything about MPH or any that offer 1 year MPH....

But if you are going to do MS Biology., I recommend you do MS in Biomedical Sciences... Reason...

You get to take anatomy, neuroscience, pathology, etc... courses just like medical school classes...,

There are more than 10 programs out there for sure that offers 1 year biomedical science in MS. Some programs have joined program w/ certain medical school and if you do well, you are automatically guarteene an interview at their medical school.

But yea... please spend more time in looking up 1 year MS in biomedical science... I was once there before and found many programs...

I was searching 1-year MPH degrees and could only come up with 2 year MPH's.

There seem to be many 1-year Masters degrees in Biomedical Science. Thank you for your suggestion.

Valid reasoning, but I respectfully disagree.

An M.S. in biomedical sciences really only serves one purpose: to strengthen the application to medical school. After he gets in, completes his M.D., and is a practicing physician, he'll make no use of that degree whatsoever. A degree like an M.S. in Biology, on the other hand, may enhance his research skills in a way that the M.D. degree cannot. These skills may stay with him well into his medical career and grant him the ability to conduct medical research if he is so inclined. In essence, it makes him a more well rounded physician in the long-run.

Instead of using a year to pursue a degree that is just gonna get overshadowed by your M.D., why not pursue one that will supplement your M.D. in the long run?
