Dear Sir
The Medical Council of Jamaica, and also the Caribbean Association of Medical Councils (both of which I am the Registrar) recognize the CARICOM agency CAAM.
We however do not know anything about the Irish based agency ACCM, hence we do not recognise it.
However all graduates of offshore medical schools will have to sit and pass the Caribbean Association of Medical Councils (CAMC) examination in order to practise in the CARICOM countries.
Yours faithfully
M.L
Registrar
Caribbean Association of Medical Councils (http://www.camcweb.org/contact.html)
Skeptic's thoughts: What does this mean? The official licensing boards of the region don't know ACCM. ACCM is for outside the area recognition apparently. If a student wants to license in the Carib. they would contact the above agency to find out requirements.
