The school web site has a page with all the textbooks on it. You should buy only the books for the semester you will be starting because the editions may change; the rest you can order later. All books are available from amazon.com; if you search by author and title, you will find the latest edition.
You should buy both the main textbooks and any optional books listed, plus a Step 1 review book, either BRS, Rapid Review, Road Map, or High Yield.
Your first batch of books you will have delivered to you at home, but after that you'll have them shipped to Aruba, in which case be sure to use Expedited International Shipping from amazon.com, and give yourself plenty of time, because their promised delivery dates will not be met. If you have it sent by their highest priority service -- courier -- you'll get the books in three days, but it's very expensive. You will not be charged import duties on books, but you will for just about everything else.
If something unforeseen happens and your books are delayed, the registrar has all required and optional books on disc, courtesy of fossildoc; borrow the discs for your grade level and copy them in the lobby, then return the discs right away because they are in great demand.

for the first time i'd slightly disagree with my ghostly roommate. I'd say don't buy books (especially if you're PM) before you come here. everyone is selling their old books. there are plenty availible and the beginning of the semester... things like the anatomy book is a little bit harder to find because people don't like to sell it.
good luck

if you buy books and bring them with you and your immigration issues aren't cleared, you'll be hard pressed to explain to those personality lacking folks who work at the airport terminal why your bringing them as a tourist. Aruba may be happy, but its not a dumb island.
Plus you'll get a better deal buying the books from current students. The faculty and admin dont change the books from semester to semester so there's no risk of buying the wrong books.

Well I agrees to your saying u guys, but I checked out other websites for the same books, and I was shocked to c the prices that low. I mean some of them were almost half the price and brand NEW !
So I don't think we might get books @ those prices from students ! I would just prefer buying it online and then explain those dumbs @ the airport that u r a student and u need the books ! :peace:
