Starting December 1 spartan has had the privilege of having Dr.Mark Schwartz The author of: Textbook of Physical Diagnosis: History and Examination teaching Physical Diagnosis at Spartan. He will continue to be teaching this course for all of the Trimesters to follow. i hope the management will continue to bring in new teachers like Dr.Schwartz

The school definitely seems to be moving in the right direction. They are pushing hard for great step 1 scores and they seem very serious about NY. Although nothing happens overnight I am optimistic. With new additions to the staff, the addition of a fifth trimester (Don't know if that has started yet), improved library, and their pursuing more clinical rotation sites the new management seems to be off to a good start.

It would undoubedtly get better eventually. Maybe it would take time. Dr.Schwartz was brilliant. Hope this guy teaches Spartan students on regular basis. This whole week was so productive.
Rotations in NY can be done for 12weeks as of now, maybe in less than an year the school would get approval! Everything looks so positive, just that the new management should get someone with required credentials to be the Dean. The present dean is not very sure what he speaks & nothing makes sense between his speech & action?

Did they insult this doctor also by offering him the grand sum of US $1500 as pay just as they have done to others?

Spartan University based on the achievements of many alumni provide strong medical education to its students,I was involved with carribean students when I was practicing in the US for 20 years and now as a leader of large dept having students and residents from schools that all considered great in the USA, and super fancy facilities, I can tell you from expert opnion and experience that Spartan grads and many other carribean grads far better than most grads I am dealing with, carribeans has better clerkship training in US hospitals and better exam scores.I am fortunate to have held leadership positions in US and abroad and able to judge fairly without any political of media motives.
Good luck

The fifth trimester has started.. and so have more faculty been appointed. Dr Ratnakar(MD) is now the new professor for Pathology. Many new developments are in the offing ....
