What states is this school accredited in?
I'm assuming you are referring to what states are Xavier graduates eligible to practice in. Certain states in the US approve, not accredit, Caribbean schools to be eligible for licensure. California is one of the states that requires the school you do your basic sciences in be approved by that state (equivalent to CA med schools). Xavier is not CA approved (not on the dissapproved list but no site visit has been done) so as a graduate you can't practice in that state or any state that uses their list (there are about 7 others).
All other states one can get licensed in as long as you follow the rules of each state. NY requires approval, but you can do up to 12 wks of rotations there and eventually practice in that state even if the Xavier is not approved. FL you can't do clinicals there cause Xavier is not approved but can get licensed. Other states require certain types of clinicals (green book) in order to be eligible for licensure.
Basically, as an Xavier graduate you would be currently eligible for getting a license in about 40 states. The best advice that has been mentioned before is not only listen to people on valuemd, but contact all medical boards in question.
