I have heard from some of the pre meds at my university that Caribbean schools don't look for extracurricular activities and its easy to get in if you don't have any. Is that true?

I'm not sure I would completely believe those other pre-meds at your university (unless they are on the admission committee at a Caribbean medical school). In conversation with reps from two Caribbean schools, I have been told that they look not only at solid GPA's but also for people who will be good physicians. In my mind, that means people who live a somewhat balanced life with some clinical exposure and also with hobbies or stress-relieving activities.
This is my two cents only, but I honestly think the work and play that I do outside of university is what got me into medical school.
Cheers :)

Most carib schools look positively at medical voluntary work that you might have undertaken at hospitals or local clinics or doctors offices. Especially it helps a lot if your academics is a little weak.
