Hey man, i just wanted to get some perspective from a current med student there. My main concern is getting a residency in the states. Florida would be my state of choice, but its not to big a deal. I just wanted to know how good your experience has been so far as far as the level of education and how housing is. Ive heard a lot of different stories about both of these and i wanted to hear from someone who was actually there. Also, i dont know if u r from the states but im doing premd @ xusom, and wanted to make sure that that was also g2g in the states the same way the md is. One last question, where did you get your loan? Thanks a lot for your time man. Much appreciated.

New ownership/investors got involved just as the loans were pulled out from under them. There isn't any loan programs available so their recruitment is targeting affluent families of specific ethnic persuasions. Essentially looking for those who can pay out of pocket and no need for financial aid. Less headaches with payment and installment plans since their is minimal, qualifed staff remaining to make things happen.
With all the fallout in the financial markets, I am sure there is very little focus on any one student's ability to get a residency here or there.
Generally speaking the pre-med components of the program are not recognized by the north american colleges and usualy wont be transferrable. that's right, you will have to start over. that is why there are so many posts which recommend doing your pre-med in the states. but you haven't scrolled down that far yet have you?
Can everyone say "cash burn rate?"

Would not do pre-med at this school. Look in the back posts about 1/2 a year ago - you will see some posts. They are not staffed to do even a half baked pre-med. Credits would not be accepted in the states if you did. Do it right get in a good US school and save yourself time, money and hassle!

When you guys say the U.S. doesnt accept the credits you mean i wouldnt be able to transfer back correct? Your not saying i couldnt practice in the U.S. after the pre md and the md are finished?
