Ok so many of u on the island are having problems getting a loan? Is there anything some of you are doing to make it better? Can you share on how u can get a LOAN!! it just seems impossible!!!:confused:

Getting a good co-signer would be the easiest. Paying down debt you acquired (from before you started med school). After that, it just takes time. By owning a house, car, boat, etc and making regular payments (no late fees, etc) is how you really "raise" your credit score...unfortunately those things are quite difficult to do while you're in med school.

Shoot Ed-Invest is high interest they hit me up for 17% on my last loan and got me on hold right now waiting for the past six weeks on word from my appeal.

the committee has the final say so. that's why I figured I asked what everyone is doing because what the SGA president said wasn't true about if you have a problem email them.

Are you sure your loan is at 17%? Are you reading the disclosure statement? Its prime + ?. ?= depends on your credit status. That doesn't sound right.
