Wireless setup

From my understanding if you want internet in the dorms you have to hook it up and pay for it yourself. So, should I bring a wireless router with me to hook up to the modem they install in my dorm or can I get one there?

yes, if you want internet in the dorms then you have to pay for it. internet is expensive here....if you get the highest speed, which i have, you'll pay about $140/month...I KNOW!!!.....but you can get a wireless router and split the bill between 2-4 people and cut the cost down....

Now, they do sell routers here but i got my own router....its your preference...hope this helps...

Electronic equipment is pretty costly on the island. Bring a router!

My roommates and I in first semester communicated via email. The housing people send you an email that includes your roommates' email. We just communicated before arriving to see whether or not we wanted to split internet between the 4 of us, who would set it up, etc. Bring your own! Even if you don't use it first semester, you probably will once you move out on your own!
