Just had a quick question for anyone on this board who maybe has had some experience with the situation that I am in. My freshman year of college I didn't take seriously and was upset about being in a remedial math class. Long story short I failed the class three times all due to attendance and because I was taking college algebra at another school which I recieved an a in. My question is since this was a remedial class will all three f's count in my science gpa. I have since taken all bio's and chems and have a 3.4 average. What schools will take this into consideration? Thanks for anyones help.

Also how do the carr schools calculate gpa's.

Math goes on your science GPA - so three F's is not good. I tell my premed students in lab - medical school is all about GPA! My suggestion - forget it work hard and pull good years in the other pre-med pre-req's. Some schools discount poor grades in the freshman year. However, a F in the senior year is a killer. It take two to three A's to offset a F on your GPA.

See I was told that D.O schools only used your repeated classes but still showed all of your attempted classes. Do the Caribbean schools use the AMCAS to evaluate their applicants or another system. Thanks for your help
