Is there any state that allows a person who graduated from a non-approved school to get residency in that state with a temporary education permit from that state, but not a permanant license upon graduating residency.

I see my school is on a disapproved list in Michigan, but I applied to a residency in that state before I had this knowledge. I don't want to go out there and do an interview or match there and find out later that I could not obtain a temporary education permit to do the residency.

Several other states fit this same problem. Anyone have experience with this problem?

Based on annecdotal evidence and hearsay, yes that has happened. BUT as I always advice everyone that ask these kind of questions, and my advice to you is...CONTACT the State of Michigan Board of Medicine and ask them directly. That way you get the story straight from the horses mouth and not by..."oh someone told me" and it happened that "someone" did not knew anything about it or was just speculating.

Good luck
