Hello,
I'am currently a 3rd year Health Sciences Major. I have no physics requirement in my program, and I'am not someone who is super-math inclined. I was wondering if taking High School Grade 11 and 12 physics will be sufficient to do well on the MCAT? I have taken all the other sciences, biology, organic/inorganic chem, microbio, general chem...and of course an anatomy and physiology course. I also have Sociology, Psychology, French and a stats course.:p

I have a 3.3 GPA, and a 24 on the MCAT (which I will most likely redo to get a slightly higher mark, i was sick on the day of the MCAT). :(

I also have community policing experiencing, I volunteer occasionally at a soup kitchen.:D;)

Taking all this into account, what do you think my chances are of being accepted to SABA?:?:

I'd say your chances are pretty good to get an interview. Saba does require that their students have some clinical experience - do you have any?

I don't have any at the moment. I tried to see if docs would let me shadow them, however I got a categorical NO from about 4 different MD's.

You don't necessarily have to shadow a doctor. You could volunteer at your local hospital or nursing home for example. But you do have to have some sort of relevant experience in the field. I'd recommend it, even if Saba didn't require it, as it gives you some insight as to how hospitals and your health care system work and if it's really something you want to belong to.
All the best!

I also noticed that Saba requires that courses not be taken at a community college. I think Saba will need to change this otherwise they would not be able to receive U.S. financial aid when and if they ever get approved by the Department of Education.
