Visting Before Applying?

I was wondering if anyone of you guys visited Saba before applying, and will it help you in the admissions process?

Yes, Justin I visited the school before applying and I'm glad I took the time and spent the money to do so. The valuemd forum had so many great students posting about Saba and I had so much information before I even visited the school...but I realized anyone can say whatever they want on a forum to make his/her school look good, so I wanted to see for myself if Saba was the right school for me. And by visiting, I got a first hand look at the island, the professors, and the students and realized that Saba had great professors who were willing to stay after class and office hours to speak with my father and I, had friendly students who let me use their cellphones to call back home to let them know what was going on, and much better facilities for the study of medicine than I originally imagined. it the was best thing I could have done for myself..so I encourage you to do the same.


ya know, I always think about buying a car and not test driving it..I don't think that's wise..and thus, I don't think it's wise to attend a carib school without visiting first. I know funds are tight for most people, but it's a small price to pay in my mind. you are gonna going to incur so much debt anyways, so a few extra $600 bucks or so really won't make much of a difference, and will really solidify your decision to attend Saba.

Do visit the place, and make sure you talk to the current upper semester students in regards to the state of affairs on SABA. That will give you an idea about what is really going on. I think its an excellent decision to go check it out beforehand, and get a feel of what you are getting yourself into.
Ask about the professors and their reputations, as your next 2 years will be in their hands.
