None of the carib schools are 'accredited' in the US. Schools are accredited locally. The LCME accredits US schools but has no jurisdiction over schools in other countries. Carib schools are granted a charter by their local governments which enables them to be listed on the International Medical Education Directory (IMED).

Graduates of foreign schools are elligible for licensure in the US and the rules vary by state. At a minimum, schools must be IMED listed. IMED listing does not imply approval by any US school or imply that the school has been 'accredited' by IMED. IMED approval does not require any quality standards -- it only means that the school is approved by the local govt which, in the carib, is a low hurdle (which is precisely why so many new school start up in the caribbean).
California has the most stringent criteria and maintains a list of 'approved' and 'disapproved' schools. Approved does not mean accredited. It simply means that graduates of approved schools are eligible for licensure. Most foreign schools are automatically approved by CA except schools whose student body is primary composed students not from the host country. Nearly all carib schools fall into this category.
A few other states use the California approved list.
SGU, Saba, AUC and Ross are CA approved. Their graduates are eligible for licensure in all 50 states.
Graduates of other schools have more limited opportunities for licensure.
