I've always founds searching the forums for information very useful and am thankful for those who have posted.

Hopefully this thread can give some more updated information at this time for future students.

Detailed information about how much OHIP will cover, the process, making a claim etc:

http://www.health.gov.on.ca/english/public/pub/ohip/pdf/longer.pdf

Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care - Public Information - Ontario Health Insurance Plan - Travelling Outside Canada (http://www.health.gov.on.ca/english/public/pub/ohip/travel.html)

The form you will have to fill out and go to a ministry office (Fill out section D):

Ontario Central Forms Repository - Form Identification (http://www.forms.ssb.gov.on.ca/mbs/ssb/forms/ssbforms.nsf/FormDetail?openform&ENV=WWE&NO=014-0280-82)

You will also have to obtain a letter from the Gardner office indicating registration confirmation and the duration of our program (Not sure if the acceptance letter will suffice).

UPDATE: I went to the OHIP office today with the acceptance letter and admission certificate and they extended coverage overseas for the length of the program (4 years). You get a new health card with a new picture.
