I bumped into my first KMC-origin clinical student today at Harbor - thought it would be a while longer till that happened. But it looks like the program is progressing well. It's a hopeful sign for those students who are in the program now and those who are considering joining the program. So far, everyone seems to have positive things to say about KMC.

What a coincidence! I was in the process of tracking them down myself today. At least one of them did really well on Step 1. And according to another KMCIC student at least one more scored high as well.

The MCI article? Old news. Threat of keeping KMC from enrolling students in MBBS program(s). Had a short-term affect when ECFMG first heard about it: keeping KMC stduents/grads from registering for USMLE. KMC clarified the issue (MCI hs no authority ro remove/revoke KMC's accreditation) to ECFMG: no more problem.

I was in manipal july middle and heard two KMCIC students took USMLE step 1 and got over 98%. This is a great testimony for KMCIC and may have a lot to do with a very small class size (~5), the very first batch from KMCIC Twinning, KMC teachers focussing on getting good results etc etc.
nevertheless a great acheivement and hopefully sign of good things in future

I heard this from my friend couple of months back who is in his 5th sem now and also from a proff down here in antigua who taught them back in 2006... indeed a great achievement :)

maybe KMCIC should look at using the same teachers (that taught the 98% score students) to teach the current students - to get the magic to work for future students as well
