anyone know where to find DO school rankings? The only thing I can find is average accepted gpa/MCAT from 1998. . .

They aren't ranked like MD schools. The high ranking ones are usually the older ones. Look at the DO forum on student doctor network, but remember to take every piece of advice with a grain of salt.

You'll get everyone telling you different things about D.O. school ranking but I agree that it isn't the same as MD. I'd say what really matters for DO is what you want to get in the end and what type of area you want to live in during school. That's how I am deciding which DO schools to apply to.
myfuturedoctor.com has some pretty good info about all of the DO schools and what it's like to live in each area.

I would suggest that you thoroughly research their class profiles...Many DO schools are pretty competitive with 3.6 Gpa's and 27-28 mcat averages. That should give you a good indication of your chances and also which schools the most qualified students are entering. Next I would research the match lists...there are some DO schools who graduate more specialists than primary care...some DO schools are mostly primary care. I would research that. It really depends on what you want. Location is also important. Look at where most of their residents go....and see if where you want to eventually end up is full of residents from that school.
