ok people.I have a buddy who is too embarassed to post his stats on here. So, yeah, Im gonna do it behind his back. Here goes.

Total GPA. 2.86
cGPA . 2.71
MCAT 27
Volunteer for 1 year
Volunteer firefighter 1 year
research 2 years
member of AMSA, Pre-med club, Journal Writing club
Shadowing doctors
working in hospital for 4 years as secretary.

So the age old question, What are my chances?? lol:shock:


Also, he is now entering his senior year interested in going to medical school in fall of 2009. when should he get his application in?:dancepar:

But the GPA is only a 2.86. entering senior year. I should mention that he's 24. I dont think hes interested in graduate programs at this point.

he has a chance, have good rec letters, and an upward trend in grades will help a lot.

good luck to him. he has a decent shot at auc but not a shoe-in by any stretch

first of all, this actually is a "friend"

second, i don't think theres anything wrong with getting perspectives on different scenarios. its how we learn.

but i applaud you for wasting your time searching for and posting meaningless answers.

the only way to know your chances is to apply, no one on here can give you a definitive answer.........and posting a "friends" stats behind their backs is not very ethical :shock:
