For an OBGYN, there is no light at the end of the tunnel; only the one you make lol

The light at the end of the tunnel is only the headlight of an oncoming train.

Enjoy that thought.

Thanks Pandabooboo. It is always encouraging to hear something like that. As for the negative remarks-givers, didn't you read between the lines of the acceptance package, the line about bringing a torch along. It is for our time in the tunnel. lol

they aren't negative replies just honest ones..they are a series of tunnels...

in med school your light at the end of the tunnel is step 1 and making to clinicals...if i can just make it to step 1 its all down hill from there

in clinicals its all about step 2ck cs if i can just make it through that residency interviews are down hill

when looking into residency you begin to notice a pattern that the slope of that hill isn't getting any smoother and you say if i make it into residency its all down hill

in residency you have a few weeks of the "honeymoon period" where all is good and you made it..got a shinny long coat with a shinny freshly embriodered MD ion it then you realize that the next tunnel is ahead with step 3..man get step 3 done and its all down hill right? its gotta be!

then step 3 is not even done yet and you have evals to do, in service exams, subspecialty board practice, oral board practice to get ready for the final tunnel right?

i hope to God its the final tunnel!! hehe

seriously woudln;t trade what i do for anything but the idae of a sigle tunnel is not correct its a series of tunnels with a clear view in between

enjoy med school!

Stealing from Gump, "Life is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get."I guess life in general is a series of tunnels. Thanks for all the advise and encouragement.

Hahah....... So how is it like on the other side of the tunnel?....... Any advise for us who are still at the beginning of the series?
