Are we required to wear a lab coat to the hospital visits? If so, can we get away with wearing scrubs underneath a lab coat to the hospital visits? I did that for the physical diagnosis 4th term lab exams and it was considered to be "professional" enough by the dept. If not, I need to figure out whether I should buy long or short sleeve dress shirts. Also, for guys, can you wear long khaki pants instead of slacks?

yes you need the white coat. yes you can wear scrubs underneath, but that also depends on the doctor you will be with. if you are going to an off site clinic office, then you need the shirt and pants
and yes you can wear khaki for guys
