Textbooks for 1st year at Semmelweis

Does anybody know the textbooks that are required for the 1st year at Semmelweis medical faculty? There is the list at the college international website but are all of those books necessary for the 1st sem?

The books I would recommend for the 1st year english medicine at Semmelweis are:

Biology: 'Essential cell biology'

Anatomy: An atlas (Netter or Sobotta mostly used... English or latin terminology is up to you) and a textbook, here I used Thieme Locomotor which is just enough for the first semester.

Histology: The school offers a lab-manual and a histology textbook which are good.

Embryology: I used 'the developing human', but any embryologybook will do - but try to keep it short. It is not a big subject and some people do "fine" with no book.

Chemistry: Lectures and wikipedia is enough.

Physics: Lab manual is bought from the school.

Medical terminology: Book is bought from the school.

Hungarian: Book is bought from the school.

Anatomy will be your biggest subject this semester and I would start off by buying a good atlas and textbook and then complement with the other books after school start

I guess the website you are looking for is studyhungary .hu

Then you click on "After acceptance" on the menu to the left.
There you'll find the booklist. However it may not be up to date so I would
recommend you to buy the latest edition instead of the edition listed there.
