Hiya. Does anyone knows if you can download stuff from the iTunes App Store (using a US based account) while physically in Grenada?

I know a little while back iTMS did some funny stuff with IP-address filtering, so you couldn't access the US store while in Canada, for instance. What I'm wondering is if that still applies if you specifically sign up with US account information.

itunes store is no longer accessible on the campus network. You'll have to go over to someone ones place/room that has C&W to get to the actual itunes store.

They blocked it because people were downloading hordes of movies and music killing the bandwidth.

I would suggest loading up on all the apps you need, like netters, before comin down.

However, you may be able to connect to the actual app store via the iphone itself through the campus's network when connected via wifi - but let me stress MAY, not definite.

To any who are interested, I may have an iphone or two and an ipod touch or two (all unlocked to be used with bmobile/digicel) down in Grenada in a month...PM if you are

I don't think you can because the campus network requires that all first time users of the WiFi network to download that program that checks to see whether your computer has the necessary antivirus/anti-spyware credentials before you can log onto the network itself. Then again, I never tried so take it with a grain of salt.

I definitely know you can access the campus's network with an iphone - ive done it myself. As for the itunes store, I am not positive, as I have not tried that one.
