Rads at MIH or SJQ...I dont think people even show up to MIH for rads. They just go once a week. SJQ is 9 to 11 everyday

Does anyone know if OB/Gyn Core at Caritas is ACGME approved by specialty? i searched on the acgme website, but i am not sure if this is the same one???

i searched New York state for OB/Gyn specialty and under New York Medical College (Brooklyn-Queens) Program [2203521183] it lists

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center - Participating Institution
Caritas Health Care (Brooklyn-Queens) - Participating Institution

Is this the same Caritas for OB/Gyn Core or another one?

Caritas = MIH + St Johns. if you sign up for OBGYN at Caritas you automatically go to St Johns. Yes it is accredited (as you mentioned it was listed as Caritas)

I would like to do anesthesiology at St. John's. I wanted to know how long is the typical day. Do you work on weekends? Are the doctors nice?
Also, do you have time for yourself?

Thanks

day starts at 7:30, and you dont work weekends (you can if you want). Great rotation from what i hear. I am actually scheduled for it in november, so i can give you a better personal experience then. A couple of the docs are really nice and they let you do a lot if you show interest. In terms of time spent...its nothing like a core rotation. Very relaxed rotation and atmosphere...you'll have enough time for yourself

Hi AxlFoly,

Thanks for the info. I like your name by the way. The reason I'm asking these questions is because I have some residency interviews set up in December and I just want to make sure that taking that time off during the rotation won't harm my evaluation. Do you think it will?I've gotten all honors so far and I would like to keep that up, if you know what I mean.

Thanks again.

Hi,
Anybody did or currently doing the above electives please let me know about the hours, teaching and grades that we can get for those electives. Is it possible to study for step 2 with these electives?.

thanks for your time.

Anesthesiology at Caritas was a nice experience. I think I got there by about 730 every AM, then spend the day putting in IV's in preop patients then going from room to room to look for intubation experiences.

I don't think I stayed later than 2pm.

Hi,

I'm signed up to do Radiology at SJQ in November. I would like to know if this rotation is good to study for Step 2, because I really need to. And without getting a bad grade.

Thanks
