View Full Version : Ross accepted me first

I applied to Ross and SGU around the beginning of May at roughly the same time. Ross gave me an interview and accepted me a month later to enter Aug 08 (even though it is late in the game, I had decent stats.) SGU just emailed me 3 days ago congratulating me on getting an interview. I am thinking I might decline the interview since I don't think SGU will accept me for Aug 08, I've paid my deposit, and done almost all the Ross paperwork. Should I still consider SGU or just ignore it? Should I even consider SGU at all at this point? I'm surprised Ross is so much quicker or rather that SGU has been so slow.

SGU contacted me saying i've been granted an interview a month after i've send in app, tell me to wait for the interview time. six months later, they tell me, i will be contacted soon by my interviewer. 3 months later i was contacted by my interviewer asking me when's a good time.
At that time, i was prepared to say go screw yourself, but i merely declined politely.

If you want to go to SGU it may be worth it to let them know about your Ross acceptance. It may accelerate your approval. It's help others in the past.

If your stats are competitive they'll probably make room for you in the Aug. class.

All the best.

What is a tactful way to do this?

"i have been accepted to Ross for the aug class, however sgu is my first choice and wanted to know if it would be possible to have a decision on my application before my ross deposit is due?"

they may ask for a copy of your acceptance letter- you can fax it to bayshore

I'd fax and mail hard copy of the acceptance letter from the other university right away with your request right away.

I think you should just go with your heart because you are going to get alot of opinions here!
