Does anyone with a mac or pc laptop regret not getting a tablet computer? Anyone with a tablet, does your charge last long enough to go all day during clinicals or do you have to revert to notepad and pen by the end of the day when the power runs out?
you wont be using your tablet after 5th semester. and you certainly wont need it for clinicals.
but its a nice investment for the first 5 semester. I had one and i highly recommend you use one.

I don't have a tablet PC and ultimately I am glad that I didn't get one when I was thinking about it. My study method just isn't conducive to using a tablet PC, I don't really take notes on slides. Ultimately you have to decide if you want to take notes directly on the slides are not, if you do - great investment, if you don't, pretty much useless.

Thanks,
I think I'm sticking with the student special macbook and ipod touch combo. The ipod touch/iphone fashcard based program for Netter are supposed to be better than using the actual cards. There are so many rumors about what's going to be available, med student wise, for the ipod touch/iphone platform (PDR, Harrison's, etc).

I'm fine without one, however I would have purchased a tablet, but I like to play computer games and the tablets aren't tweaked like gaming laptops are.... so I guess I chose videogames over school... again :D

bump, I got a very comprehensive and informative email from my nsc which said upper level students have found a tablet pc very helpful in pathology, my laptop is going to expire in about a year (I just got a new main board and my 3-y warranty expires in 1 month,) and was wondering if anyone would recommend getting a tablet pc for second year of if I should just think about replacing it with another laptop?

I'd recommend the Lenovo tablet if you're going that route.
