actually this is his last term here, so he is done in Statia in mid-aug
edit: i agree, i like his teaching. he doesnt spoon-feed you the reviews which a lot of students have problems with. they want to know the questions that are going to be on the test...

Aside from the little things I dont like about him, I definately feel that the style of teaching really made me study.

So, would you say that the other professors don't have a challenging style of teaching?

I personally think he is a good professor. Those student who complained about him are those people who actually don't study enough. I studied, I read BRS Physiology, Costanzo's Book, read his notes, Levy's, Guyton and I got As w/o the curve at all. Those people that don't do well because they only study his powerpoint and don't go beyond.

I guess its all on how you look at it, because I "Studied, read BRS, Constanzo's Book, read his notes, looked at Guyton (did not read Levy he just changed his textbook this current semester)" aslo to get my "A's in the class. But my reasons were NOT because he challenged me but rather because I had to learn it on my own.
I do think he taught GI well, but Cardio, Renal Physiology, Alpha, Beta & M receptors (which he barely touched at all and is a foundation for Pharm) I think he is lacking. That is MY opinion.
Also, you are right about students looking for freebies by looking for given reviews. Have to learn to deal.

So, is he leaving moreso because of the school asking him to leave or because he wants to? Or maybe it's both?
Not sure what a Saba "transfer" student has to laughing about. I wouldn't dare speak in their sted. But as far as any teacher in academia-land it is not easy making decisions to live on these islands for any extended period of time I'm sure. Change is good, and I'm sure they have made a productive change for themselves and family that I hope will benefit them.

I'm in clinicals now but I was in his first class and thought he terrible. The prof. before him wasn't that great but he was still better so I guess this is probably a good thing.

People should be studying hard because ultimately people's lives will be in your hands and should know what your doing. This is not the profession to go into if you do not want to study. You will forever be studying something to keep current.
