For anyone who took the exam recently does the oasis trick still work? Im getting anxious each day waiting for my results which are supposed to come out on the 16th. I tried to register for the step again and i got message saying :

"Our records indicate that you are already registered for this Step or Step Component. You may not apply for a Step or Step Component if you are already registered for that Step or Step Component. If you fail or do not complete a Step or Step Component, you may submit another application for this exam, but certain time limits apply when retaking a Step or Step Component. For complete information, refer to Reexamination and Reapplication in the ECFMG Information Booklet and Retakes in the USMLE Bulletin of Information."

For anyone who tried this, do they get a different message? Does this mean that I passed or does it mean nothing at all?

Doesn't mean anything at all. The scores have to be reported in order for the Oasis Trick to work. Keep checking back and maybe you can find out a couple days earlier. I took mine June 9th and was hoping to find out this week...

Took mine on May 22. Am really anxious to hear. I tried the OASIS trick to, no luck. Also, it says the "target" date for reporting is the 16th. That doesn't mean results will necessarily come that day. Personally, I was hoping for a few days before the 16th.

I think that scores only come out on Wednesdays, is this true? I'd like to get it early but at least maybe we could do the Oasis Trick a few days ahead of time... Sigh, im feeling nauseated over it.

For you guys that just took the test recently, I have a couple of questions. I just scheduled my test. On test day, you have few breaks here and there, do they let you leave out a thermo with coffee and snacks? also do they let you have a piece of paper and a pencil for calculations(statistic or physio questions). That's all I want to know, if anybody answer, It will be appreciated.

No food or drinks allowed. They give you these dry-erase sheets to write on which you put your ID # on in the beginning of the day. Pretty much it is those sheets, your ID and the headphones they give you. Good luck!

The Oasis trick does not work anymore, I did some research, its not 100% and just may freak you out to think you failed when you did not. Just wait till the scores come out.

Scores come out wed but are updated by Thurs.

Scores no longer come out on Wednesday only. I have about 14 friends that took there exams before me with the old format. Each of them got their results in exactly 3 weeks, no matter when they took the exam. So that is why this long wait is so frustrating.
