uhh based on that map the storm isn't anywhere NEAR cayman.

The same thing was said about Hurricane Ivan, yet my fellow SGU'ers and SMU students were evacuated as a result of the devastation to both islands. storm CARIB is a good website to follow hurricanes in the Caribbean (Caribbean Hurricane Network - stormCARIB.com - Local Reports on Tropical Systems threatening the Caribbean Islands (http://stormcarib.com/)).

ivan was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY closer then the current one. i will be surprised. from the map it doesn't even look like GCM will be touched by the edge of the storm.

evan DEAN was closer than this one and it didnt hit the island... but only God knows what's going to happen... we can all say whatever but in the end, whatever God wants is what's going to happen....

cayman is way off to the southwest of the projected path of the hurricane.

I think the point of the thread is not whether this is going to hit Cayman or not, but to just keep an eye on it. Should always keep an eye on any storm down there. You never know.
