I've had my advisor send a letter of rec to AUC twice already and they still haven't received it. I'm getting really frustrated. Do I really have to ask him to send it again for a third time? I don't understand what the deal is. He is mailing it to the right address.

I dunno if even that'd help, lol. Jk it probably would work that way. Or have them put it ATTN: to whoever your admissions counselor is. Or try doing that and faxing them.

Always send this type of documents either certified or with return receipt

yea thats tough...i always included SASE cause those people are usually too busy to go to a PO to get certified or signature confirmation. i didnt have any problems with MEAS however.....maybe you should give them a call

I used interfolio to get around that. Basically had my profs/advisors send recommendations to the service electronically and confidentially. Then the company sends it to wherever you need. A big benefit of it is that pretty much any educational institution within the US (and also AUC) accepts recs sent from interfolio, and by doing it electronically, you won't have to ask the person to send another rec when you need it, since it will be stored on the service's servers. Just my 2c.

I had my letters sent the same way with no problems, I'd check into it if you can....

How is it uploaded electronically? Doesn't it need a signature and be certified?

Your pre-med adviser OKs everything you send/have sent to them and then they upload the documents into the program signed by him/her and then send it to whatever company disperses it to the schools of your choice. Got to love technology.....

Most schools recognize the service, and the certification of confidentiality is from the company itself. There are two main companies for doing this. One of them is interfolio, and I can't remember what the other one was. I tested out both when I started using the program, and preferred interfolio.
