Hi guys,
I have a mac and I was wondering if many people use them, and if you run into any problems whatsoever with using them for medical school. Would it be easier to get a pc laptop?
Thank you!!!

I have a Mac and a lot of other people use Macs too. They work great, as long as you have office.

is it powerpc or intel? if it's the intel chipset, you can just run parallels on it and run windows too. two machines in one! that's what im doing with my current macbook.

Macs need parallels to double speed mediasite (= buy parallels and windows), and they are just testing out the ability to wirelessly print... other than that they work like a regular computer should...
If you are looking for ease of computing out here I would go with a PC... with windows XP... otherwise you'll need to shell out another couple hundred for parallels and windows...

A PC capable of connecting to the internet.
what you really need is a Mac for fun and a Tablet PC for class :)
I had a powerbook and a IBM pc tablet when i was on the rock. If you were to buy something strictly for med school, i would get a tablet pc all the way. It will save you a LOT of hassle and its very convenient for mediasite/taking notes.

Boot Camp is free, although I use Parallels. All you need is a working copy of Windows.

For you guys on the rock, how much do you worry about your mac being stolen? How do you protect your equipment?

Okay, sorry but I don't know what parallels are... so pretty much your first paragraph does not make any sense to me. And I don't understand exactly what mediasite is... it didn't make that much sense from the other post about it.
Thank you!!!
