Bicycle, Scooter, or Car in GND for long term?

Hello:

I am a term 2er, and I am just wondering if someone has bicycle I can buy. Does renting a scooter make sense? What about a car? Honestly, I want something cheap but safe. Any feedback would be significantly appreciated! Happy 4th!

try buying a car from a student once you get there. Usually this can be done at the end of the term when the 6th termers are leaving. You can get a good car for about $2,000US or less and if you take care of it sell it for about the same when you leave the island in 2 years. that's the cheapest way to get a car. most people however rent just to be on the safe side and this way if the car breaks down they can get a new one from the person they rent from.
