Hi RdC,
Have you heard anything solid about loans there? We still have the same smoke and mirrors bull, plus the "davenport loans scam". I'm applying to Statia regardless. App will be done tomorrow.

Sorry, I haven't heard anything. But I think you'll be happy here.

Not hard, malignant. The admin there is clueless and thinks they can treat the students like mushrooms and get paid for it.
Some students are too smart to put up with it for long.
And the admin here is completely different.
Apparently, yesterday there was a major shake-up in Saba, with several professors getting the shaft and subsequently resigning. The school is not the place that it was a year ago by any stretch of the imagination. Students in Saba have gotten tired of the messed-up administration and are looking for other options.
RDC, myself and several others have already come to the conclusion that Statia is the better choice between Saba and Statia; and have already transferred. It looks like there may be MANY other former Sabians here in the coming semesters.
To anyone in Saba who is considering Statia, come. You will not be disappointed.

what semester did you transfer into at SESOM? Why didn't you choose SESOM in the first place if you don't mind me asking. I will be at SESOM in the Sept. and I was just a bit curious why so many were transferring over.

I talked to financial aid on tuesday and she said they were in meetings with a lender that could hopefully give us some traditional loans instead of the private loan route. I would give them a call tomorrow and see if they did get the funding or not. I know that we are in crunch time because I have tons of stuff to send off, but I will not do it unless I know that I have funding, since that is the only way that I can go to school.

No, that is an approximation of the number of students at Saba - which is the question you asked.
If you wanted to know how many (former) Saba students are at Statia, the number is a bit over a dozen, I think.
If you want to know how many will be at Statia next semester, hard to tell - but probably more than one or two.

I have to agree on this... I give Statia's administration 9.8 out of 10. Still.. there is room for more improvements but I have very satisified with them. I know that MUA-N and Saba are sisters schools and pretty sure that they are the same staff... if they are... I give them 2.0 for their attitudes when I applied to MUA-N back then. thanks goodness they rejected me.
