Well Today I had been to the open house Seminar and I jst came frm attending it. president gave really good speech. And When I asked dean about the rumours of the hike in the fees, He told me that no fees are going to increase for Sept.2008. But in the near future if there may be hike in the fee, those student who has already been accepted for sept.2008, or any of the next upcoming semesters, will have to pay regular fees(4900$) frm MD1 till you complete your MD10 though the fees are raised for the new students. So guys don't worry regarding any rumour for HIKE in the fees. Well Hope, it's good that this matter is solved here. Well dear moderator you should have not closed the thread as I was going to post this information, Well for this reason I had to create a new tread.Hope this answer will satisfy all those who were in doubt.

that should put that rumor to rest....also windsor has 'tuition lock' so basically you pay term 1 tuition through out your education regardless of future increases.

Yes I was there and he clearly said " ONCE YOU ARE ACCEPTED AND REGISTERED AND START THE UNI ... THE PRESENT FEE THAT WILL BE AT THAT TIME WILL STAY FOR YOU " in other words if you go to this school and the present structure fee which is $3995 for the premed sem ... and $4995 for MD ... than no matter what this will be the structure for you .....

This is from Kirshi, who ask these questions and I am wondering if you got these answers.

A few questions on housing...
Hi. I have a few questions about housing. If you can help clear my doubts it will be helpful. Thank you:)
1. When they say housing does it mean apartment or an actual house with rooms to share?
2. I have two other friends who are coming with me to Windsor and we all filled out the housing form with each others names listed as roommates so does that mean we are going to get a three bedroom house?
3. What appliances come with the housing?
4. Is there anything extra that we need to bring in terms of appliances?
5. When we get to St. Kitts do they take as straight to the house we will be staying in?
6. On the admission letter it says we have to pay a surcharge of 125$ per month, is that for the electricity and maintenance fee for the housing or is this an extra charge?
7. Do we do laundry in the housing provided or do we have to go somewhere else to do that?

Well that is something easy to understand ... They will take you from the airport to the place where you will be living and will give you the schedule for the buses and stuff ..... the services which are included with the house ... no idea about that sorry bro I didn't ask this question but I was not the only one who was asking question ... may be some one els had any idea about it ...

For PD, the President had said that students receive a 20 pages of reading and the next day, the students will be tested based on the reading package. Its a multiple choice. Everyday is going to be like that. I think.

I found that to be interesting. And for USMLE practice, the President had said that everyday the students will take 100 questions as a practice for the whole semester.

90% of US schools use the Bates text, and base curriculum accordingly. Most people in my class used the pdf version to study. I know that i will have to go over it again before I start clinical. Again the current PD class is a waste of time.

Here is a link to the book LINK. (http://www.amazon.com/Physical-Examination-History-Taking-CD-ROM/dp/0781735114)

In addition shelf exams from the NMBE will have to implemented before NY approval takes place. As a note you will know that a NY visit is coming when there is a real PD class and shelf exams are implemented...till then any NY visit is hear say..

P.S. there is only one reading packet for all 80 students. The packet is also about 5 years out of date.
