do IM at Union Memorial or Harbor, if you can. Those are nice.

IM at harbor and union memorial
Psych at st. elizabeth (which is in D.C)

Hey all, just wrapping up my IM rotation at HHC (where I ran into Sree...hello!). It's pretty great there, and from what I hear, it spoils you for the other hospitals. The program is really set up to teach students a lot...between the lectures, conferences, and rounds upon rounds upon rounds, you can't help but sponge up some information. Oh yeah, and between doing all that, you follow anywhere from 2-4 patients a day (more or less), so you get lots of patient exposure, too. Everyone is very approachable, and I definitely didn't get the typical "med students are lower than dirt" treatment. In fact, most of the housestaff, attendings, and directors seem really eager to teach.
It's a pretty varied experience...out of a 10 block rotation (each block is 10 days), 1 block is spent in ICU, another on Night Float, and the rest of the time is on the General Medical Floor (GMF). So you pretty much get the spectrum of the IM experience.
Um, that's about it for a very general overview...hope it helped!
