Hello Fellows,

As we all are familiar with our administration :mad: and normally this issue is usually taken care by a Student Body which is always elected by students of the institute and they work with the admission and other administration officers to provide better results and facilities for present or future students and as well as make sure the Graduates of the school should be honored and get the respect they deserve by making sure their graduation should be a memorable day..... and for all this we all have to come up and make a Student Body which is usually called Student Association and I didn't get any info about SA for our school (if we have one) but if we do we need to be communicated more and on regular bases....

Poll if you guys think it is important for our school now ....

Following are the suggested role and a normal structure of the Student Body of any institute and this is my suggestion to start this plan ASAP ... in order to bring our school's standard and making sure the administration is giving us as much attention as we deserve.... :eek:

Faculty Directors
A faculty representative is an elected student from University who acts as a liaison for full-time students within their faculty.

School Directors
A school director is an elected University student. This student works closely with the SA, advocating for full-time students on campus.

Class Presidents
Class presidents are also elected representatives. Their role is to communicate the needs of their classmates to the respective faculty representative. Class presidents also advocate for their specific school, faculty or program’s needs.

VP Campus Life
Vice President, Operations & Finance
Vice President, Student Affairs
Vice President, Communications & Organization

I totally respect the opinions and views on the discussion and honestly this will help us coming up with some decision about "Do we really need one or no" ..... there is no point of doing effort is a common statement we all hear when doing something which is already denied or is not suitable..... so plz windsorMD and Baadshah address us if any one have tried it before or its just something you guys think is not required or just not important at all....

I don't want to be any thing I want to get good grades and this is the reason I am so into the betterment of this university .... because MY NAME will be attached with this university too ...... and I guess you already are very knowledgeable about what is student body but for the other readers I just want to explain what a student body and what it does other then giving "FANCY" titles ! .... and trust me I am not worried about my 18 or what ever months on the island ... I personally care about the future students and betterment of our school system .. if you guys think its a waste of time to try or to even talk about than I do need a explanation please..... I noticed the issues about the administration when I was applying and all the process and thats why it bothers me ! ....

Student Body : A students elected group of people who are basically the voice of the students to the administration of the institute and this is the only EFFECTIVE and PROFESSIONAL way to deal with any and every administration ...... 75% school, colleges and universities in this WORLD have a student body and there is a reason for it ..... because nobody will listen to you if you are alone ... and thats why you require a strong and solid GROUP!

To tell you the truth, I am new. New to this University. On Monday I will make my final decision if I am coming in September 2008 as of MD 1. All of my life in High School and colleges, I never participated in any organization at all. I just come to study and go home. I do care but I really don't have any complan about. And this is what I am intended to do in Windsor.

Student Body is formed by the Institute and supervised by the institute and it will be done if we get the majority of the student to vote for the formation of one .... and till you graduate windsorMD I personally need your yes too .... not because I want to prove any thing but to show that in our school we have the rules and regulations and as well as thinking and mind frame of a student which is similar in any part in this world .... if I am wrong and you still think its all for a fame or comming up with something which will distract and bring -ve affects to the school or our students or any other reason please address .....

i didn't understand what part of what i said was rude.
please don't send me PM's questioning my credibility as a member of ValueMD, a medical student, and most importantly as a future MD. you have no idea what you are getting into. you do not know the admin on the island, how the school is run, and most importantly what is good for you. i don't appreciate advice from someone who has yet to start medical school.

I totally agree with you kryptik ..... but the whole point is to bring this topic to our new and existing students that this is some thing which we all or may be they will need in order to bring the school up to the standards .... and may be the wording of my question is different but my meaning was to get the opinion from you people that "Do you all think we will need SA in near or coming future" and may be the question sounds like WE SHOULD START does't mean we all should start but WE = WUSM should promote and start this Body .... may be clearifying this will help and make much easier to understand what I was trying to discuss as a topic.

Dude I support you 100%...anything I can do to help just ask. The school needs good feedback from students and the students need a Representative body. Don't listen to the older students...they were to lazy to do anything....

My class was the first to have a real graduation at a real place the Marriott. Members of my class who are in the PA program started AMSA. And while I was there all the student organizations were started.Because of students like you we will have progress. We also were the first to start posting on this site and giving advise to newbies. Because the classes before us as you can see are still lost. They have no idea what is Greenbook or Clerkships. Some of them did not know even what hospitals we do rotations at. And its not all their fault no one started the tradition of giving back to the classes below....continue with this tradition...each class will be better than the next and so will Windsor!

Thanks man ..... this is exactly what I am talking about ..... plus its us (THE STUDENTS) who have to make it better other than just act like BEEEEEEP and pass by pointing that the problem should be fixed but at the same time claim that its not worth talking ...... we should change the patter of our seniors made in here which is "NO HELP FOR US AND WE WILL NOT TRY TO HELP YOU EITHER" other than going and giving worth it info to new people and try to bring these points to the administration .... but instead they have the idea that we are here to spend our 16 months and than BEEEEEP this place .... that attitude will not get you or your institute any where .....

Okay now I really understand this whole idea. You must understand though that I am not in Windsor yet. I just got accepted a week ago and I am sending off my seat deposit on this coming Monday. Can I revote my opinion? The truth is I was in rush because I had to go to Windsor's open house.
