Hi all I'm new here, I am currently getting my pre req's togather for med school, I actually graduated with a Journalism degree. I am intrested in Windsor, but I'm a little scared too I've heard so many horror stories about over seas schools. But if I can avoid taking the MCAT's that would be great, plus I still have another year left of my program before I will even have enough sciences before I can take the MCAT's. Should I try for windsor? And what about the accredation etc, is it true they don't have tutors and help when you need it? I called the Illinois number they were very rude.

I have a Bachelor Degree in Business Mgmt/MIS, and then went to American University of Antigua College of Medicine for the Pre-med program. I completed the pre-med there, and withdrew from the Medical School in Jan. 08. I was now accepted into Windsors MD program. They are excepting all of my pre-requisites. If you are nervous about studying overseas, don't be. The time goes by very fast, as you are always working hard and studying. There is also time for leisure. The largest problem that students face when studying abroad, and particularly the carribean, is that they lack time management skills, and tend to get distracted by Island life, and ignoring their studies. They lose ambition, and sometimes lose sight on their purpose for being there.

All together the islands are safe, and is a good place for study. Not many distractions, and you will be around many other students that are friendly, and good company.

I will be joining Windsor for the Med-1 program in Sept class. Does anyone know about the success rate for graduates, and how many residents they have placed?
