Hey everybody,

I just had a few questions for any transfer students and current students....

which credits were accepted by SMU when you transfer?
I have taken anatomy, histo., DPS, and currently taking biochem, genetics, physio and neuro.

How are you guys paying for your medical education without doing the Davenport program? What companies does the school currently work with? Also as long as you have more than 650+ credits score, would you be fine?

On the SMU website, in the basic sciences curriculum, there is biochem and genetics in one semester and genetics alone in another? whats up with that? do you take genetics twice?

Its good to see that the courses for the most part are broken down into two semesters.

Any regrets on transferring? What difficulties are you encountering if any at SMU? How is the financial situation affecting you?

Thank you.

transfer credits depend upon which school your transferring from. Before genetics was taken in the 4th semester but recently it was incorporated into the biochem course which students take during 2nd semester. So as of now there is only the genetic course offered with biochem.

The school is organizing a DAP loan program. Please conduct a search in this forum for more information.

I never transferred so i cant help you with these questions. But hearing from other students everyone pretty much liked SMU better than their old schools
