Letter of Admission

Hi. I got the admission letter and package through email but I haven't yet received it through mail. I called the office in US and asked them to send it three times so far and each time they said they will and yet I haven't received the letter. Im wondering if the letter comes by mail or if I should contact someone else about this?

The same problem is with me. I was accepted for the sem. starting in May, and they delayed it to send me that now i'll have to start my 5th sem in Carbondale from this september. Well they send the acceptance letter by post and it is just copy of the same that is sent by mail. I don't think they are sending anything which has WUSM stamped. I got just acceptance letter which had sign of lonna.(same copy that was sent to me in an email). Though I have paid them fees for my 5th sem. they havn't send me anything like the fee receipt. But keep them calling or else, you won't be able to get things done soon....

same here. i got an email acceptance letter and about a month later i got a black and white photocopy version of the acceptance leter by mail (no windsor stamp or anything official like that) ive heard its not a well organized school so i am not surprised

I got accepted for sept in jan and i got my acceptance through email in like a week but its now june and i still havent gotten anything by mail. when i come to the st. kitts can i show the email letter?

nope not at all, I think once you pay your fees to royal med. n tech. consultnts. they will ask u to send your passport and visa form and visa fees to get visa stamped in ur passport n it takes aroun 1 month to get passport back. I have heard this frm them. Well I have never experienced it as I am transfering from Russian med.Univ.directly to the clinical part. So better call them right now and don't delay or else your case would be like mine to sit home for 4 months to wait for next semester to start wid..call them and ask what to proceed with. I don't understand..how come such a big med.school handels the admission cases like this. I today i called them and requested to send me some official documents which shows my total fee structure so that I can submit that document in private bank over here in Canada to avail private bank loan, but Miss.Lonna told me that they don't have such documents to send me. Now unless we start studing there how can we feel that we are really admitted to WUSM with no official admission letter in hand..well its such a strange situation..

I thought they do the student visa once we get there? Thats what they told me, to bring my form and documents and they will do it once I get there.

I don't have Idea about it why you are told so....so make it clear again with those people in advance..

You should contact with MDIN2009 or someone in the island. I think but not 100% sure that you can bring your letter of admission (you recieved from your e-mail) and other stuff to the island in order to obtain a visa. If you are from the North America, then you will get visa during registration, which is at the island.

I am a canadian citizen so that should be fine right? maybe thats why they said i get my visa during registration

yeah visa situation is taken care of on the island.
it is different for intl students. (Not US or Cdn)

I don't know whats up with you? :confused: But, I got my admission letter by postal mail about 4 days after I received the e-mail copy. Along with the admission letter was a page telling me what I had to pay, and various details on flying, clothes, and environment in St. Kitts.

You should call the admissions and have them conform you about your home address, and asked them about the e-mail letter you recieved is okay enough to bring on island. Like 100% confidence.

You should send them a photocopy of the tuition check....:D

For new students you sure are bashing the School if your not happy go some where else!!!!!!!!!! Miss Lonna does alot in the office and I'm sure if you call her she will get another letter out to you ASAP!!!

It's done!!!!!! The guy asked me only two questions. 1. Do you have any mental/physical disabilities? 2. Are you currently taking any drugs? That's all and he said that I will recieve my acceptance letter on Monday by e-mail. I asked him if that's the hard copy and he said yes. So you shouldn't have any problem with the e-mail letter because it's good to use.

He said that I will recieve my acceptance letter on Monday by e-mail. I asked him if that's the hard copy and he said yes.

ninad, even in Canadian medical schools, the admission letter is communicated to the students via email, before stuff goes into the mailbox.
