Could someone who has done neuro at Lutheran or MIH, please post what time you have to be at the hospital and what are the typical hours? Thank you.

I did neuro at Lutheran. The hours vary depending on which attending you are with. One attending rounds like 3 times a week, another one almost everyday, then there are 2 others that have really long hours, I know people who had to stay till 7...but that varies. Usually the hours are 9-3 (residents will take consults up till 3) There's a lot of pt contact, the students usually go and see the pt by themselves and write up the consult, sometimes the resident will come see the pt with you. I had one that always came to see the pt after we saw the pt and would discuss the case and teach, then my other resident basically didn't want to do anything with us. All depends. If neuro is something you are interested in then this is a good place to do it. See a variety of cases as well. If you want a chill rotation then do it at Wyckoff which is like 4 times a week for 2 hours each day. I enjoyed my rotation and feel like I saw a lot and learned a lot.

I'd avoid any Caritas hospital. Lutheran should be good. I did a rotation there (not Neuro though) and it's a good hospital. The students who did everything there were very happy with the teaching.

I know Neuro at St. John's is pretty chill, 9-12ish. Haven't heard anything about MIH.
