Roomate(s) for Fall '08

I will be a new student coming to the island in the fall. I am bringing my girlfriend and small dog with me so I will not be staying in the residence halls.

Are there any married or non-single students out there in a similar situation? We would like to find a house/condo/apt/etc. close to school to share with another person or couple. We are in our mid 20's, not the partying type and our doggie is a little 14lb cockerspaniel/poodle mix (non shedding).

alot of married students or with pets end ujp moving into Treasure Island. its a little expensive but only about 1.5 miles from school and the rooms are pretty big with a small kitchen. that is what i have noticed from students in my class that have a spouse

Thanks for the information, I wasn't sure whether or not Treasure Island allowed pets of any kind. I haven't heard the greatest things about TI but these forums don't always seem to be a reliable source!!!

TI did do a trial run with allowing dogs...and of course, some *** let his dog crap everywhere - and now no more dogs allowed. Also these forums are right, TI is not the place for you. I'd say look at my house, but the room I have opening might be too small for the two of you, and we'd have to renegotiate the price offered because I didn't account for an extra person within my numbers for covering all utilities. I have a beautiful house in Snug Harbour which is about a 15 min walk from school. Fenced in HUGE back yard, and in a very nice quiet family oriented neighborhood. I have a dog to and she's very friendly. I'm a vet student, and my other roommate is a vet student (he has a bigger room, and might be inclined to switch if motivated.)
