I was wondering since I will be applying for the Pre-Med program in English, will the textbooks be in English? I sure hope they are. For the Medical level also.
And if they are in English are there bookstores in DR that have them or will you have to bring them or order from US. Must know this someone please answer.

First....when You Make A Request..........suggest You Do It With Politeness......far Better Chance Of Getting A Response.
Second. You Can Use What Ever Books You Choose....i Know Students In English Section That Use English Books, Spanish Books, French Books And Even Knew One Student That Used Books In Russian.
They Do Have Good Book Stores In The City But Suggest You Wait Until You Get Into A Particular Class To See What You Will Need/use.
Any More Polite Questions You Would Like To Ask?????

Thank you doctor I shall take your advice in the future. I really appreciate your response as I have been reading many threads and respect your expertise. I especially like the article you published and posted "In Pursuit of a Dream". It was very inspirational to me. I am planning on entering UNIBE on Jan. 09 and God willing if I get there I shall meet you as I see many students look up to you. Once again thank you doctor.

You are most welcome and if I can be of further help.....just ask. I might suggest you try to visit the University before you make the "big leap" simply because some people can not adjust to "cultural shock" ....it is different living in a foreign country with a totally different language. I know, personally, it took me a period of time to adjust but I was not a student.....I was more like a tourist!.....

I most definetly will. I plan on making a trip out there in November to see the campus. I've also got family in Santo Domingo which should be a plus. My most sincere thanks again.
