It is best to buy from other students on the island. If you ship books to Dominica, you may pay a fortune depending on how you ship them. I recall having my folks send me a review book, but the shipping cost more than the price of the book. You probably won't have much time to read textbooks in their front to back. The handouts provided in class are enough to do well on the exams. Most of the textbooks if you decide to buy them will either not be used because you won't have time or referred to only few times during the semester. I recommend if you have to bring books with you, be sure they are the highly rated review books like First Aid, BRS physio, High Yield embryo etc. The only really essential textbook you'll want to really consider getting is Meisenburg's Biochem book, Dissector for gross lab, and a color atlas of anatomy (Rohen or Netters).
