hi everyone, do you guys know the timeline for admissions. How long after the school gets all your info (application, transcripts, etc) do you get a decision? Ross and SABA got back to me real quick. still waiting on SMU thanks

smu is usually really quick. Not more than 2 weeks. PRolly just over a week. Did you call to inquire about your application ?

Definitely call regularly to check up on your application. I think they were missing a piece of mine and didn't tell me about it until I called to ask.

Hi guys, do you think they'll accept me if I'm currently taking my last pre-requisite and in the process of finishing 90 credit hrs (71 currently)?
Are they really strict on MCAT scores?
And the seat deposit is $100, is there any other?
Thanks.

i thought the seat deposit was 500 bucks ?? maybe they changed it

Yeah you could receive a conditional acceptance. If your Mcat is really low but if you have a solid GPA then the Mcat doesnt count as much. I would say solid is around a 3.2 maybe a lil bit higher if ur MCAT score is really low.

I'm sorry I meant to write $500 (that was a typo), but is there housing deposit also?

Thanks azulpanther, I'm hoping they will accept me conditionally...

no, 90 credits is required. In most schools you need 120 credits to earn a bachelors

Hi its actually 1,500. 500 for the seat deposit and 1,000 deposit for the residence hall which you get back at the end of the term.

No, currently you do not have to have a bachelors degree to attend SMU, but they are starting to look more heavily in that as well as the MCAT

I'd suggest you get one (a bachelor's) in-case you change your mind later on medicine or schools, transferring is a whole lot easier if you have a bachelor's. It's just something to fall back on.
